About Me

I am a 24 year old IT professional from South Wales. I currently work for Veriforce as a Secops Engineer. We are responsible for all aspects of the companies information security including incident response, system hardening, network configuration, Pen test scheduling and staying compliant with ISO27001 and SOC certifications. additional we work with the infrastructure team to create and manage the internal and customer facing infrastructure. prior to committing full time to the Security role, i was an infrastructure engineer for a year in this business where i was a 3rd line escalation  point for service desk tasks and managed the company network, WI-FI and internal systems. I worked as an IT technician and 2nd line Engineer at the start of my career, giving me a total of almost 5 years in the industry.

-Email Phishing Monitoring

– several cloud based phone systems.

-On-premise networking equipment configuration of Cisco and Juniper devices.

-Microsoft Defender EDR for IR and patching. 

Outside of work I really enjoy sports and games. on a weekly basis I play in a  darts league, do strength and conditioning as well as  Martial arts. I have a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and have competed in MMA. 

my biggest sporting achievement is playing for Wales as a Shooting Guard in Basketball between 2015-17.

I can also Solve a Rubik’s cube in under 20 seconds and enjoy playing Chess online in which I have a gained a rating of 1,400.
